Police looking to trace man to help with Renton assault investigation

Police investigating an assault in Renton last February have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident occurred on Saturday February 13 2021 at Main Street in the village.

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with enquiries in relation to the attack.

The man is described as white, approximately 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall, in his late teens or early twenties, of slim or medium build and wearing a dark Kappa hooded top.

Detective Constable Colin Nichol at Clydebank CID said: “A 40-year-old man suffered serious injuries and as part of our investigation we are keen to identify the man in the CCTV image. We would urge him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch with police immediately.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact CID at Clydebank via 101, quoting incident number 4120 of 13 February 2021. Alternatively calls can be made to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
