Police launch search for missing Aberdeen man not seen for over a week

Police have launched an appeal to trace an Aberdeen man who hasn't been seen for over seven days.

Bruce Lawson, 48, was last spotted in the Spring Garden area of the Granite City on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 19.

Bruce, who is known to frequent Aberdeen city centre, is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall and of slim build, with short red hair.

Officers say he may or may not have red-haired stubble.

A description of the clothing he was wearing when he was last seen was not issued by police.

Cops have appealed online for any information related to Bruce's disappearance

They have asked for locals to get in touch if they have any information related to his disappearance.

Inspector Craig Currie, of Aberdeen Mastrick Police Station, said: “We are growing concerned for Bruce’s welfare and want to ensure he is safe and well.

“Bruce is known to visit Aberdeen city centre.

"Anyone who has seen or spoken to Bruce recently, or may have information as to his current whereabouts is urged to contact officers.”

Those with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0908 of 25 April, or speak to any officer.

Police confirmed shortly after noon that Bruce had been traced safe and well.
