Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information after a cyclist was assaulted in Hamilton.
Around 7.30pm on Thursday, June 1, a man was cycling with a young boy at the junction of Kelvin Gardens and Hillhouse Road when a man got out a car and assaulted him.
The 47-year-old cyclist sought medical treatment and reported the incident to police on June 5. The 14-year-old boy was not injured.
The suspect is white, in his early 20s to 30s, with blond spikey hair. He was wearing Stone Island clothing.
Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from in and around the area as part of their ongoing enquiries.
Detective Constable Stephen Belcher said: “The motive for this attack is unknown and it’s vital we find the person responsible for this attack. “From our enquiries, so far, we know the area was busy with people and motorists and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area who may have seen something to contact us.
“Ideally, if anyone has dash cam footage from the area, please pass it on as it could assist our investigation.”
