Police launch investigation as Kilmarnock sub-station fire treated as 'wilful'

Ayrshire police are appealing for information following a fire at an electricity sub-station in Kilmarnock.

A blaze on Knockinlaw Mount was spotted by officers at 10.40pm last night (Monday) during routine patrols in Onthank.

Officers attended along with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Power. A cordon was put in place and a number of residents were evacuated as a precaution.
