Police launch investigation after worker assaulted at the Garrion Bridge

Police in Lanarkshire are investigating after a traffic management worker was assaulted on the A71 at the Garrion Bridge.

The incident happened about 9.15am on Monday, February 13.

The man responsible was driving a small blue van.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to hear from a female, who was driving a black coloured Audi motor vehicle, who stopped and offered assistance.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0708 of Monday 13 February 2023.
