Police issue missing person appeal to find 'deaf and blind' 85-year-old

An 85-year-old man has been reported missing from St James's Hospital in Leeds, police say.

John Steward, who vanished at 1.20pm on Wednesday (September 21), is described as being 1.75m tall and of medium build. He has white hair and was last seen wearing black glasses, a white & black shirt, and a dark brown coat.

West Yorkshire Police said that Mr Steward frequents the Farsley and Pudsey areas. In a missing person appeal on Twitter, the force noted that the pensioner suffers from dementia and is "partially deaf and blind".
