Police issue Mason Greenwood update day before Man Utd forward's bail expiry date

Mason Greenwood has had his bail extended beyond Saturday 30 April, with his hearing expected to be held in June.

The Manchester United forward was taken into police custody in late January on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman and officers were granted additional time to question him.

He was subsequently arrested again on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill, Greater Manchester Police confirmed. Three days after his initial arrest, Greenwood was released on bail.
