Police investigation after 'arson' attack in Bedminster building

An investigation has been launched into what is being described as a "deliberate" fire in Bedminster this afternoon (Tuesday, February 8).

Firefighters and police were called to Willway Street/Sargent Street shortly before 2pm to reports of a fire affecting a single-storey building.

Emergency services arrived to find a caravan "well alight", with the blaze also affecting a building next to it, a garage and an office building were also affected by smoke.

Avon and Somerset Police have now launched an investigation into the cause of the fire that is thought to have been started deliberately.

Officers are asking that anyone with any information about the fire calls 101 quoting log 520 of 8 February.
