Police are investigating reports of a sudden death after an ambulance was called to the Ormeau Embankment area on Sunday.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service was called at around 12.05am on Sunday, June 25, to a 999 emergency and despatched one crew to the scene.
After the patient was treated and assessed at the scene, they were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance.

A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 00:05 on Sunday 25 June following reports of an incident at Ormeau Embankment, Belfast.

"NIAS despatched one emergency crew to the incident.
"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by Ambulance."
Sadly, it is understood that the patient died a number of hours later and police are now investigating reports of a sudden death.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a sudden death on Sunday 25th June. Enquiries are continuing and there are no further details at this time."
