Police investigating shooting in Bathurst

An investigation is underway following a public place shooting overnight in Bathurst.

Police say they were called to an address on Westbourne Road at Llanarth at 1:30am Wednesday, following reports that multiple shots had been fired from a vehicle and into a duplex.

No-one was home at the time and there have been no reports of injuries.

A crime scene has been established.

It follows a shooting in Kelso in June, which police at the time described as a targeted attack.

That incident was described as "out of character" for the region by the Chifley Police District Commander Bob Noble.
