Mancunians are being urged to keep a look out for a wanted 29-year-old man. Greater Manchester Police says Ali Ahmed was released from prison four months ago.
He had been jailed for breaching a court order and released on license. But now GMP says Ahmed, from Manchester, has breached that license and is now wanted on recall to prison.
Ahmed is known to have links to Longsight and Moss Side, as well as north and central Manchester, and other areas of the country. Anyone who sees Ahmed or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact the force as soon as possible.
In a post shared this afternoon (December 7), a spokesperson for GMP Manchester North wrote on Facebook: "Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a wanted man from North Manchester and Central Manchester. Ali Ahmed was released from prison in August 2022 after being jailed for breach of court order.
"He is wanted on recall to prison after breaching the conditions of his license. Ahmed is known to have links to the North and Central area of Manchester and Longsight and Moss Side area of Greater Manchester as well as other areas of the UK.
"Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Ali Ahmed should contact police on 0161 856 3508 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
