Police have released images of two men they are seeking to trace in connection with a violent assault on a group of women on a night bus in west London.
The victims were travelling on an N207 service near Holland Park station when the men made advances towards the women.
After they were rejected they became verbally abusive and then physically attacked the group.
One victim, 26, was dragged down the stairs, off the bus and assaulted. Another, 24, suffered facial injuries.
The incident happened at about 2.50am on 20 January on the service which had started at Tottenham Court Road.
Police said the victims had been traumatised by the level of violence used by their attackers solely because they had rebuffed their unwanted advances.
A Met statement said: “They were approached by two males who made advances towards them. When they declined the males became physically and verbally abusive
“One of the victims, aged 26, was dragged down the stairs off the bus and assaulted.
“Another victim, aged 24, sustained facial injuries after being assaulted.
“Both victims were enormously distressed by the incident and are affected to this today.”
Detectives have released images of two men they would like to speak to in the hope that the public can help with the inquiry which includes the trawling of CCTV footage.
Anyone who can identify the males pictured is asked to call 101 ref 0987/20JAN24.
