Police hunt thug who fractured victim's cheek in 'random' attack outside West Lothian nightclub

A man was left with a fractured cheek after a "random" and unprovoked attack outside a West Lothian nightclub.

Police are hunting for he thug who assaulted the 24-year-old man at who was in the smoking shelter at Grand Central in Livingston.

Officers said he was assaulted sometime between 2am and 3am and punched to the face. The man attended hospital and received treatment for a fractured cheek.

The male suspect is white, in his late 20s to early 30s, around six feet in height, with a medium build, dark hair. He was wearing a khaki coloured jacket.

Officers are continuing to check relevant CCTV footage for additional information.

Detective Constable Adam Gow said: “This appears to be a random attack on a young man on a night out. We know there were other people around when the incident occurred and I am appealing to them to contact us with any information they have.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1444 of 28 February 2022. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
