Cops have launched an investigation after a man was found injured in Barrhead Main Street.
Officers were called to the town centre shortly before midnight amid reports that a man had been stabbed.
A local resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “The man was lying there covered in blood.

“There was blood all over the pavement and road.
“It looked like the man had been stabbed ... it looked absolutely horrific.”
The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment but police have not yet disclosed his current condition.
Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Officers received a report of a man found injured in Main Street, Barrhead, at around 11.40pm on Tuesday, 31 May, 2022.
“The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
