Police growing 'increasingly concerned' for welfare of missing Scots man

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Scots man as police grow "increasingly concerned" for his welfare. Officers are currently trying to locate Lachlan Gray who has been reported missing from Irvine.

The 40-year-old was last seen in the Harbour Road area near Irvine Beach Park around 7.30pm on Friday, May 5. He is also known to travel to the Glasgow area.

Lachlan is described as being white, around 6ft tall and of stocky build, with short fair/blonde hair. He also has a beard and when he was last seen, he was wearing a green hooded fleece top, a black t-shirt, light blue jeans and black trainers.

Inspector Darren Muir said: “We have growing concerns for Lachlan and as time goes by we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. We are asking the public to please get in touch if there is any possible sightings of Lachlan.

“When last seen, he was on foot and anyone with any information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact officers immediately.”

Anyone who believes they may have seen Lachlan or has any information which could help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3496 of May 5.
