The body of a teenage boy has been found in the River Eden in Carlisle after a 15-year-old went missing on Friday, Cumbria Constabulary said. Four boys were reported to be in difficulty in the River Eden near to the Rosehill area of Carlisle at 6.41pm on Friday, May 26, Cumbria Police said.
One of the group, a 15-year-old from Carlisle, was missing following the incident. The body was found in the river near to the Rosehill area shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday.
The police statement said no formal identification has yet been confirmed but the family of the 15-year-old have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A 14-year-old boy, who was airlifted to hospital on Friday, remains in a critical condition.
