Police confirm death 'not suspicious' after woman's body found in Aberdeenshire

Police have confirmed the death of a woman whose body was found at a house in Aberdeenshire is not being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a property on King Edward Court in the town of MacDuff shortly after 7.30pm on Friday, October 14. Officers discovered the body of a woman on arrival.

The death was initially being treated as 'unexplained' and an investigation was launched into the incident to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic find.

Now, cops have confirmed that the woman's passing is not being deemed suspicious. The woman's name and age, however, are still unknown. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: Around 7.45 pm on Friday, 14 October 2022, police were called to an address in King Edward Court, MacDuff, where a woman was found deceased.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
