Police sweeping parks in inner city east Bristol looking for knives didn’t find any - but found a saw hidden in the bushes instead.
The knife sweep was undertaken by the neighbourhood policing team for Barton Hill and Lawrence Hill on Sunday.
They went through Newtown Park and Gaunts Ham Park in Barton Hill, searching every inch of the undergrowth.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said the biggest find was a saw, hidden in Gaunts Ham Park.
“On Sunday 23 January the Barton Hill/Lawrence Hill neighbourhood policing team carried out a Knife Sweep of Newtown Park and Gaunts Ham Park,” the police spokesperson said.
“A saw was recovered in Gaunts Ham Park. This was taken to the police station and disposed of safely,” she added.
Gaunts Ham Park is a small urban park just off the A420 near the Barton Hill roundabout - it has the Lincoln Gardens extra care nursing home on one side.
