A child was rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle outside a pub in Rochdale on Tuesday night (February 7). Emergency services were called to the collision on Newhey Road, beside the John Milne and Free Trade Tavern pubs shortly before 7pm.
Police closed off the road as investigations into the crash were carried out. The Manchester Evening News understands the child involved was a boy, aged 10.
It was later confirmed that the child did not sustain life-threatening injuries in the incident. The driver also remained at the scene to assist officers with enquiries.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 6:50pm this evening, emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Newhey Road in Milnrow.
"Emergency services attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital where it has been confirmed they do not have life-threatening injuries.
"The driver remained at the scene to assist with officer enquiries.”
