Police have launched an appeal after a man was threatened with a weapon before handing over cash. Police said the victim was walking home along Alfreton Road, in Radford, when he was approached by a man who demanded money while threatening him with an unknown weapon.
The victim handed over a small amount of cash. The robbery was reported between 6am and 6.15am on February 27. The victim was reportedly left "very shaken" following the incident.
Detectives investigating the incident have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident and are urging him, or anyone who knows him, to come forward.
Detective Constable Aiden Rowton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The images released show the same man we want to speak to which were taken on two separate days. Thankfully the victim wasn't injured during this frightening incident but he was left very shaken by what happened.
"Even though we acknowledge the CCTV images are not of the best quality, I am urging anyone who recognises him to please get in touch with us. The man we want to speak to is white, around 6ft tall and has blue eyes. He is of slim build and was clean shaven.”
Anyone who recognises the man, or has any information which could help detectives with their investigation, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 147 of February 27, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
