Police catch pedestrian 'hitchhiking' at side of M8 motorway

M8 Police West Lothian

Police caught a pedestrian hitchhiking at the side of Scotland's busiest road in broad-daylight. Officers clocked the punter on their dashcam on the M8 yesterday.

They were discovered walking on the other side of the outer crash barrier on the section of the motorway linking the Edinburgh to West Lothian.

Road Police officers uploaded the picture of the pedestrian wearing a huge backpack as they issued an urgent plea for people not to walk on or near a motorway.
