A cyclist has been fined after traffic cops caught him riding along the M62.
Merseyside Police's Road Policing Unit took to social media to slam the male cyclist and wrote that he 'left his common sense at home'. A force spokesman claimed that upon being confronted by officers, the man told them that he 'thought he'd be okay' because his 'sat navigation told him to do it'.
According to the social media post, the man was removed from the motorway and will receive a fine. @MerPolTraffic tweeted: "The rider of this pedal cycle left his common sense at home after he thought he'd be okay cycling along the M62 because his 'sat navigation told him to'.
"He was taken off the network and #reported. He will receive a fine through the post."
