Cops were called after a brawl broke out outside Newcastle's Chinawhite bar.
Police say they received a call reporting a disturbance outside the city centre venue during the early hours of Sunday morning. The Chronicle has seen footage of the incident, which has been circulating via What's App.
It shows a number of men fighting, before some arm themselves with metal barriers and attack others. A car is then looks to have been driven at the venue, although police say no one was hurt
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: “Shortly before 2.30am on Sunday police received reports of a disturbance outside of Chinawhites on Fenkle Street.
“It was reported three men had been ejected from the premises and then subsequently became involved in an altercation, along with a number of others. It was also reported a number of items were thrown at staff, and then a car driven towards the premises.
“No one was injured and an investigation was launched. Efforts to trace those involved are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police."
Chinawhite moved into Newcastle's historic Assembly Rooms last year. The founder of the famed London hangout loved by everyone from rock stars to royalty revealed in 2019 he had secured a site in the city.
Anyone with any information should call Northumbria Police on 101 quoting log NP-20221002-0127.
