Police becoming 'concerned' about missing woman, 79, last seen getting out of vehicle

Police have said they are becoming 'concerned' about a missing woman last seen getting out of a vehicle in Wigan. Pauline Chamberlain, 79, has been missing since around 4.30pm on Wednesday (October 26).

She was last spotted getting out of a vehicle on A580 East Lancashire Road, at the junction with Newton Road in Lowton. Anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts is urged to get in touch with police.

Greater Manchester Police's local Leigh, Atherton and Hindley page shared the appeal on Wednesday evening with an image of Pauline.

The post read: "Officers are becoming concerned for the welfare of 79 year old Pauline Chamberlain, who was last seen on Wednesday 26th October 2022 at 4.30pm, getting out of a vehicle, on the A580 East Lancashire Road, junction with Newton Road, Lowton.

"If you have any sightings of her, please contact Greater Manchester Police." The post included a picture of 79-year-old Pauline, who has short grey hair, in the hope of possible witnesses coming forward.
