Police at Cabot Circus and car park partially closed after woman injured

A woman has been taken to hospital following an incident in Bristol city centre this afternoon (Monday, March 21).

Officers responded to reports of an incident at Cabot Circus car park at 12.40pm, where a woman was found seriously injured. She was taken to Southmead Hospital, and the car park has been closed.

Police remain at the scene and are trying to establish what happened. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said: "Officers remain at the scene and are carrying out enquiries to establish what happened. The car park is currently closed."

Travelwest tweeted shortly before 2pm: "The Newfoundland Way/ Dale St entrance to the Cabot Circus car park is currently closed due to a police incident. Use the other entrance or nearby alternative car parks."
