Police have asked people to check sheds and outbuildings as they continue to search for a missing elderly man. Roger Simons, who is 78 years old, was reported missing from his Glynneath home on Wednesday, May 18, and has not been seen since.
South Wales Police said it had been searching for him and those investigations would continue - but the force has now asked for more help from the public, amidst fears Mr Simons could be sheltering in someone's garden.
Inspector Gareth Davies said: “It’s been nearly six weeks since Roger went missing and there hasn’t been any sign of him. Clearly this is very concerning, and his family and friends are desperate to know where he is. We have carried out extensive searches for Roger over the past weeks and these will continue. As part of this ongoing search, I am urging anybody who lives in the Glynneath area to please check any sheds or outbuildings on their property where Roger may have taken shelter and contact us immediately if they have any information that could us help us find him.” You can get more Neath news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.

Roger is described as being of slight build, about six feet tall and he usually wears a baseball or bobble hat and often wears a high-vis jacket. "If you have any information, no matter how small, that may help us, please get in touch via https://orlo.uk/Up9yQ quoting reference 220016607," added Inspector Davies.
