A Body Found In Sydney Bushland Is Believed To Be Missing Woman Shereen Kumar

A NSW man will appear in court today after a body was found in Sydney’s bushland which is believed to belong to missing woman Shereen Kumar. Shereen, 43, was last seen leaving her home on Taylors road in Dural on Wednesday night around 9pm. She was wearing white pyjamas and a purple dressing gown. Her family reported her missing to local police on Thursday after she didn’t return home, triggering an urgent search.

As part of the investigation, Kuring Gai Police co-ordinated searches with assistance from PolAir and the Dog Unit of surrounding bushland. The  found the body of a woman in bushland off Laurie Road, Dural on Saturday evening, three days after Shereen went missing. A crime scene has since been established and is being examined by forensic . The body hasn’t been formally identified but it’s believed to be that of Shereen Kumar. Investigators arrested a 37-year-old man at a home on Taylors Road, Dural, just after 11.30pm on Saturday — four hours after the body was found. He was taken to Hornsby Station and charged with murder (DV). The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 24 July 2022). According to News.com.au, Shereen was a mum. She worked as a dog-walker and had a history in modelling. Friends of Shereen’s commented on NSW Police’s social media posts about her disappearance. “Please, please, please if you see my beautiful friend anywhere or have any information, call Crimestoppers,” one person commented on Facebook. “Please help locate my beautiful friend/work colleague,” wrote another. Investigations of Shereen’s disappearance are on-going, and NSW Police have urged anyone with relevant knowledge to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. You can also .
