An 85-year-old man who had been reported missing is now back home with his family. Officers from Avon and Somerset Police appealed for help to locate the man who went missing earlier today (Saturday, April 15).
Joseph was last seen in the Hanham/Kingswood area just before lunch at 11.30am. But on Saturday night a member of the public contacted Avon and Somerset Police to say she was with him.
A spokesman from Avon and Somerset Police said: At about 8.10pm tonight we had a call from a woman who told us she was with Joseph, 85, who went missing from Hanham area today. We've taken him home and he's safely with family.
"Massive thanks to all who shared our appeal and the woman who stayed with Joseph and called us."
Police are asking everyone in the area to be on the lookout and to get in touch should they spot him by calling 999 and giving the reference 5223086998 if you see him or dialling 101 with other details.
