Pictures have been released of two suspects following a violent and unprovoked assault in Hackney that left a victim with serious injuries.

The Metropolitan Police said on Thursday they are still looking into the incident that happened in the early hours of June 26 on Wallis Road.

“The victim and suspects were not known to each other and had had no prior interaction during the course of the evening,” a statement read.

“The attack appears to have been unprovoked and without motive.”

Alongside their appeal for further information, the force also sent out CCTV pictures of two men they wish to identify and speak to.

The force said the update follows “a number of enquiries”.
