Police and ambulance crews rushed to a city centre hotel.
Officers were called at around 8.45am today to Heeton Concept Hotel on James Street. It was reported there was a concern for safety for someone inside the hotel.
Police said a man needed medical attention and officers were called to help North West Ambulance Service. Pictures of the scene show three police cars and two ambulance vehicles outside the hotel and James Street station.
One eyewitness said they saw paramedics come out of the hotel and get a stretcher, before heading inside. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are in attendance following a report of a concern for safety of a man at a hotel in Liverpool city centre.

"At around 8.45am we received a report that a man needed medical attention on James Street and officers were called to support North West Ambulance Service."
