Police allege Mackay man posing as yoga instructor sexually assaulted women

A 28-year-old man who police allege posed as a yoga instructor has been accused of sexually assaulting women in North Queensland.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Eaton said the man had been charged with two counts of sexual assault, however, had since been released on bail.

The man is alleged to have assaulted the women during the day on April 21.

Senior Sergeant Eaton said the two women who had made complaints were in their 20s.

He said police also wanted to speak with anyone who had been approached by a man posing as a yoga instructor in public places in Mackay such as parks or beaches.

Senior Sergeant Eaton said the specifics of the incidents were not entirely known.

The 28-year-old will face court later this month.
