Polaris Donates $85,000 to Off-Road and Snowmobile Clubs, Helps Preserve Access

While there are a lot of organizations out there trying to dismantle our public lands, there are a great number doing their best attempting to preserve it, as well as support those who use it. One of those is Polaris, the folks who make some of the best UTVs, ATVs, and snowmobiles around, through its Trails Grants program.

And for nearly twenty years, it's been donating good sums of money toward clubs and organizations that aim to better recreational enjoyment for all, including snowmobile clubs that fix and maintain trails, off-road clubs that clean up campsites from refuse, and even fire restoration services for those areas affected by our ever-more prevalent wildfires.

It continues that tradition to today, as the company just released which organizations won its Fall 2024 grants, including a number of snowmobile clubs, a few off-road organizations, among others.

“Local riding clubs play a critical role in maintaining trails and promoting responsible riding,” said Reid Wilson, Polaris VP and GM of Off-Road Vehicles, adding, “Our bi-annual TRAILS GRANTS are one way Polaris supports their efforts and helps create opportunities for riders to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.”

The fall grants total $85,000, bringing the 2024 total to over $220,000, and will be split up between 10 organizations. Those include the Bog Hooters ATV Club, Tuleyome out of Woodland, California, North Routt Snow Riders, the Mad River Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, Coalmont OHV Park Inc., Pine Center Sportsmens Club, Lumberjack Memorial Trail Inc., the Kettle Moraine Snowmobile Club, VTT Club 2000 ATV Inc., and the Vermont ATV Sportsmans Association Inc.

These organizations help maintain trail access, expand or restore OHV roads, restore burn areas, as well as brush clearing, reroute existing trails to preserve wetlands, fix a damaged bridge, to updating signage needed to help emergency services in the backcountry.

Since the inception of the Trails Grants, Polaris has donated over $3.5 million to clubs and organizations across the United States and Canada to help maintain public lands, trails, and more so we can all continue to enjoy the great outdoors. It's good to see a player like Polaris supporting organizations such as these, as they not only do good work, but ensure that we all have access to public lands for years to come.
