A priest was killed and four people were wounded in a stabbing at an abbey in Jarosław, southeastern Poland, on Thursday morning. Prosecutors said three clergy members and two laypeople were attacked. Police detained a 31-year-old Ukrainian national at the scene.
Police were called to the abbey grounds at about 9.30am. The priest's death left two clergy members and two laypeople injured, with two of the survivors in a 'critical, life-threatening condition', according to a prosecutor. Investigators have not identified a motive.
