"Pokémon TCG" has been seeing significant stock problems over the past year, but now, one of the rarest items in the market has come back in stock directly from the Pokémon Store over at Amazon.
'Pokémon TCG' Extremely Rare ETB Now Back In Stock
The "Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet — Prismatic Evolutions" Elite Trainer Box is back in stock on Amazon, and for the first time in months, it is available below the average market price.
This particular product has been one of the hardest items to find at a fair price since the "Prismatic Evolutions" set first launched, making this restock a significant window for fans and collectors who missed out the first time around.
The Prismatic Evolutions set launched early last year and sold out almost immediately, prompting The Pokémon Company to release an official statement about the shortage and speed up its reprint schedule, as per GameRant.
Despite multiple reprint waves, supply has not been enough to bring prices back down to anything close to the original suggested retail price of $49.99.
Scalpers moved in quickly during the initial launch window, inflating prices significantly and making it difficult for regular buyers to grab the product at a reasonable cost.
The set itself features some of the most sought-after cards in recent memory, including the Umbreon Secret Illustration Rare, which was reportedly selling for over $3,000 shortly after launch. This, alongside the other SIRs, made "Prismatic Evolutions" one of the most aggressively scalped Pokémon TCG releases in years.
Rare Elite Trainer Box In Stock For Below Market
According to TCGPlayer, the current market price for the "Prismatic Evolutions" Elite Trainer Box sits at roughly $205 to $210. Listings on eBay follow a similar range, with most sellers pricing the box at $205 or higher.
The current Amazon listing, however, has the ETB available at $182.55, which is noticeably lower than what most sellers are currently asking across other platforms.
It is worth noting that this is the standard version of the Elite Trainer Box, which includes nine booster packs. It is not the Pokémon Center exclusive variant, which comes with 11 booster packs and tends to command an even higher price on the secondary market.
Should You Buy This Rare Elite Trainer Box?
For serious collectors, this restock is worth jumping on, as keeping the box sealed is an option worth considering, since sealed Prismatic Evolutions products have maintained strong value on the secondary market. The entire expansion has only seen limited drops in its charts, and it remains the most sought-after set in TCG history.
For those who prefer opening product rather than holding onto it, the current Amazon price still represents solid value. However, it is jokingly called "Traumatic Evolutions" because of its low hit rate, but many found luck with the set over the years, as some shared opening up "God Packs" from it.
Most sellers on TCGPlayer and eBay are asking well above what Amazon is currently listing, so even for players planning to crack the packs and pull cards, buying at $182.55 puts them at an advantage compared to paying market rate elsewhere.
The last several times a Prismatic Evolutions product appeared at below market pricing on major retail platforms; it sold out within hours. Anyone interested in picking up the Elite Trainer Box should act quickly, since restocks at this price level have become increasingly rare as demand continues to outpace supply.
