Pokemon GO Shiny Hunting rewards patience but Saturday's Sandile event gives players a reason to plan their walk before opening the app. Sandile Hatch Day runs on October 17, 2026 with boosted chances of hatching the Pokémon's Shiny form. The hunt centres on Eggs rather than wild encounters, so an overflowing Egg inventory could get in the way before the afternoon begins. Reduced hatch distances will help players work through Eggs faster. Free research adds an incentive to join, although a deadline makes it worth checking the rewards screen before heading home.
