Sebastien Pocognoli has insisted his changes for Scotland against Switzerland come down to seeing a "different profile".
The national team boss insisted changes have not been made over "disappointment" as he hailed all of the players involved in the 0-0 draw with Slovenia on Saturday.
Pocognoli has made three changes at Hampden, with Luis Binks, Nathan Patterson and Kieron Bowie replacing Stephen Welsh, Aaron Hickey and Robbie Ure.
Quizzed about his changes on BBC Sportsound, the Scotland boss said: "We want to see also some players.
"We were prepared for the first two games in terms of what we want to do so we just stick with what was my idea before the announcement of the selection.
"We want to see a different profile, regarding the quality of the opponent. But I was really pleased with all the players who played in the last game in Slovenia.
"It is not a question about disappointment."
On how his preferred style of play might operate against Switzerland, Pocognoli added: "It will depend on the quality of the opponent and also on the position on the pitch.
"It is a good team, if we respect them too much then they will punish us.
"We need to be on the front foot, that is the only way for me that they will maybe make mistakes. Maybe we will be exposed sometimes but that is part of the process and I will be fully behind the team if that happens.
"But I know also this approach can give us some real possibilities."
