PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan on February 13

The Seva Teerth complex, previously known as the Executive Enclave under the Central Vista Redevelopment project, will also accommodate the National Security Council Secretariat and the Cabinet Secretariat. This move is a major milestone in the ongoing Central Vista redevelopment, consolidating several government functions under modern infrastructure.

An official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office described the inauguration as a “transformative milestone in India’s administrative governance architecture,” reflecting a commitment to creating a modern, efficient, accessible, and citizen-centric governance ecosystem.

The statement highlighted that for decades, key ministries operated from fragmented and ageing offices spread across multiple locations in the Central Vista area. This led to operational inefficiencies, coordination challenges, escalating maintenance costs, and sub-optimal working environments. The new complexes aim to consolidate administrative functions into modern, future-ready facilities, addressing these challenges.

The announcement of Seva Teerth was first made by Home Minister Amit Shah in December 2025 as part of the government’s 24x7 service initiative. Shah noted that over the past 11 years, the Modi government has emphasized not just power, but service.

In a message on X (formerly Twitter), Shah stated:

"Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji has reiterated the resolve for service and named the Prime Minister's Office 'Seva Teerth'. At the same time, Raj Bhavan and Raj Niwas are being renamed as Lok Bhavan and Lok Niwas."

The inauguration of Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan marks a significant step toward modernizing India’s governance infrastructure while streamlining administrative functions for efficiency and accessibility.
