NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday took a swipe at the group of 26 opposition parties for calling itself INDIA and said even East India Company and banned organisations such as SIMI and PFI have INDIA in them and asked the people to reject them. The Congress retorted by saying it shows the PM’s desperation.
For the first time after the opposition parties named their bloc as Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) at Bengaluru on July 18, the prime minister spoke about the naming in public.
