PM Lecornu seeks way out of France’s latest budget impasse

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu will bring together the country's main political leaders on Monday to try and find "the way forward" after senators and MPs once again failed to reach agreement on the state budget for next year.

Lecornu was named as PM in September to break France’s political deadlock and get a budget passed for 2026.
