New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday accused the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of launching "Operation Jhaadu" to arrest and jail top AAP leaders. His remarks come as AAP workers marched towards the BJP headquarters in Delhi to protest against the arrest of Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar in connection with the alleged assault case of Swati Maliwal.
Heavy security was placed outside the BJP office after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave a call to march to the party office amid the ongoing blame game between the AAP and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal over her alleged assault.
According to the Delhi Police, the AAP did not seek permission for its mega protest, adding that Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed at the DDU Marg, where the BJP office is located. (with Agency inputs)
