A city centre hotel has announced a new initiative, which will see locals welcomed to work from its warm spaces during the winter.
Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel announced the plans this week, with the Warm Workspaces programme hoping to help those working from home from dealing with excessive energy bills. From January 23 and throughout the winter months, the luxury hotel will offer hot desk sessions in The Garden restaurant.
Users will have access to a desk and WiFi, with the completely free sessions booked online. There is no requirement to purchase food or drink from the hotel during the session.

General Manager of the Kimpton, Kieran Quinn, commented: “Heartfelt human connections are at the centre of everything we do at Kimpton Charlotte Square, and we believe they can make peoples’ lives better; we care for our employees, guests and the local community around us.
“It is of the utmost importance to us to do what we can do to help everybody through the current energy crisis - so we’d like to extend our welcome to people working from home who are worried about their bills, to enjoy a change of environment in our dedicated warm workspaces.”

The hotels initiative has registered with Warm Spaces - an online directory designed to signpost anyone in need of warmth to a ‘warm bank’ this winter. They’re joined by coffee shops, libraries and community centres who are also offering up a free place to work and a warm welcome.
