With the Met Office extending its yellow weather warnings for snow and ice for parts of the country, many are struggling to keep their homes warm.
Temperatures have plunged as low as -13.5C in some parts of the UK, and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a level three cold weather alert, which means an added health risk to vulnerable people. That means it's incredibly important to stay warm, and not only are we battling the cost of living crisis, but the freezing temperatures causing boilers to break down too.
Freezing weather can often cause boilers to stop working because the condensate pipe, which leads waste water away from the boiler and down the drain, has frozen. Some people may have this fitted internally, but if they are external, you'll no doubt be struggling in these cold temperatures.
