The home is a place of comfort, sanctuary and also a little mystery. A plumber has taken to TikTok to share his wise words about the house - including solving an age-old mystery of why hot and cold taps must always be in the same position.
Fraser Hoehle shared a popular TikTok video where he explained why the hot tap is always on the left and cold tap is on the right. He said: "“The hot on the right hand side of a bath is always correct. It stops young kids scolding their hands.
"And in basins and kitchen sinks and stuff like that, the hot’s on the left and cold’s on the right and it’s for blind people so they always know. But there are people who f*** that up."
