Sony has confirmed its September lineup of PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, giving subscribers a fresh batch of titles to claim across PS5 and PS4.
The selection blends a recent release with several older but still well-regarded games, all set to become available starting next week and remaining claimable through October 5.
'MLB The Show 26' - PS5
"MLB The Show 26" stands out as the newest and biggest addition to this month's lineup, having only launched back in March 2026. Players can build their careers through Road To The Show, compete in the MLB Draft Combine, and choose from several new college teams, while Diamond Dynasty lets subscribers build a custom squad using players from different eras of baseball history.
PlayStation Plus members also get access to the exclusive Jump Start Bundle, which includes five The Show Packs, an Equipment Pack, and a Jumpstart Choice Pack.
"MLB The Show 26" is available for PlayStation Plus subscribers on the PS5 only.
'Chained Echoes' - PS4
"Chained Echoes" rounds out the lineup as a story-driven, single-player JRPG inspired by classic 16-bit era games. Players travel across the continent of Valandis, working to end a war between three kingdoms using swords, magic, or a mech suit depending on their preferred playstyle.
Among this month's four titles, "Chained Echoes" holds the distinction of being the highest-rated game in the batch, having earned strong praise from JRPG fans since its original release.
"Chained Echoes" is the sole PS4-exclusive under the PS Plus free games list this September.
'Sniper Elite: Resistance' - PS5, PS4
"Sniper Elite: Resistance" serves as the headline title for September, sending players into occupied France for a story that runs parallel to the events of "Sniper Elite 5."
The full campaign supports co-op play, and the series' fan favorite Axis Invasion mode returns as well, letting players invade another user's campaign as a German sniper.
The game also includes competitive 16-player matches alongside a four-player Survival mode for those looking for something beyond the main campaign.
"Sniper Elite: Resistance" is available for the PS4 and PS5 consoles for PS Plus members.
'Wobbly Life' - PS5, PS4
"Wobbly Life" brings a more lighthearted, physics-based sandbox experience to this month's lineup. Players can explore an open world solo or team up with up to three friends online or through local split-screen co-op, tackling story missions alongside mini-games and secrets scattered throughout the world.
The game also includes a dedicated Arcade Mode featuring modes like Trash Zone, Hide and Seek, Wobble Run, and Sandbox for extra variety.
"Wobbly Life" is also available on both PS4 and PS5 consoles for subscribers.
'Marvel's Wolverine'
While not part of this month's PlayStation Plus lineup, "Marvel's Wolverine" stands as the biggest PlayStation 5 release coming in September. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, the single-player action-adventure launches on September 15, exclusively for PS5, with no PS4 or PC version currently planned.
Unlike how Microsoft regularly handles Xbox exclusives, offering many of its biggest first-party titles as Day One releases directly through Game Pass, Sony is not following that same approach with "Marvel's Wolverine."
The game will require a separate purchase at launch rather than being bundled into a PlayStation Plus subscription tier, keeping Sony's strategy for major first-party releases distinct from Microsoft's subscription-first model.
