But a reported estimate from hardware leaker Kepler_L2 has put a potential launch price at $1,100 to $1,200 (£832 to £907), fuelling concern that Sony's next-generation console could cost gamers close to $1,200 (£907).
The latest discussion follows remarks by Sony Group Corporation President and CEO Hiroki Totoki, reported by The Wall Street Journal and subsequently discussed by Digital Foundry. 'We have not yet decided on at what timing we will launch the new console or at what prices,' Totoki said. 'So we would like to really observe and follow the situation.'
