The release of NBA 2K25 is just literally around the corner, and its arrival on September 6 is hotly anticipated by fans. However, there is a way to play the game up to two days ahead of everyone else.
Beginning September 4, those who have pre-ordered the game can already start playing. This part of the "Early Tip-Off" incentives that those who pre-order can exclusively enjoy.
Those who can access the game by September 4 can play all modes of the game, as well as online play. It should be noted, however, that this does not apply for those who pre-ordered for the Nintendo Switch.
In order to have access to Early Tip-Off, interested players must pre-order by September 5, the day of the official release.
Does This Apply to Physical Copies?
The early access to NBA NK25 is open to those who pre-ordered for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows. The game can be pre-ordered in the respective platforms' game stores, as well as Steam for Windows PC.
Player who pre-order will automatically be granted the privilege of accessing the game two days earlier than everyone else. It is likewise applicable to all editions of NBA 2K25.
However, it should be noted that Early Tip-Off is only available for physical copies that have been purchased from participating retailers in select territories. In order to know if your retailer is part of the list, you'll have to contact the retailer itself.
NBA 2K25
The latest addition to the NBA 2K series, the NBA 2K25 is scheduled for release on September 6. This is the first game in the series to feature both NBA and WNBA players.
Players can choose from the following editions of the game:
- Standard Edition
- All-Star Edition
- Hall of Fame Edition
- WNBA Edition
The Standard Edition of the game features the Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum, while the WNBA Edition features Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson. Both athletes feature in the All-Star Edition.
As for the Hall of Fame Edition, it features NBA legend Vince Carter.
For the first time, the PC version of the game will have the same features as the PlayStation and Xbox versions. However, cross-play support and anti-cheat will only be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
