Platforms say no to fee increase

Seven online delivery platforms confirmed on Monday that they would not raise their delivery charges despite rising energy prices caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict to help reduce the cost of living.

Speaking after meeting operators of Shopee, Lazada, Grab Food, Lineman, Foodpanda, Robinhood and AirAsia Food on Monday, Wattanasak Sur-iam, director-general of the Internal Trade Department, said seven goods and food online delivery platforms agreed to cooperate with the Commerce Ministry's request to further cap their delivery charges to help consumers.
