A series of Edinburgh buildings and yards could be demolished to make way for over 60 new homes.
The site, at 499 Gorgie Road, could be set for a huge transformation after a planning application was put to Edinburgh Council that would see the demolition of 16 yard buildings and garages that are currently serving as tenement properties.
The work would see 63 new homes built in their place, as well as new garages and a parking area for the respective flats.

The site is located to the west end of the busy road on the fringes of the city centre for the converted yards that back onto Chesser Gardens.
The subject line for the plans on the council's planning portal reads: "Demolition of yard buildings and 16 no. garages serving existing tenement properties; construction of replacement parking court comprising 12 no. garages and four no. parking spaces to serve existing tenement properties; and, erection of 63 new homes with associated access, landscaping, parking and services."
Some of the disused and former industrial yards found purpose in years gone by, with one becoming a music recording studio and the other being used as a hub for career and life seminars.
Opposite the site are multiple blocks of flats and the Riverside House office block which was previously listed for sale.
