A planning application has been submitted to turn a popular food market in Belfast City Centre into a car park.
Conway Estates Ltd have submitted an application to the Belfast City Council with plans to turn Common Market into a short stay car park on the ground floor.
The Common Market complex was granted approval to become an entertainment and event space in April of this year and has since seen a number of food vendors set-up there.

However, this approval was only granted on a temporary basis for the period of two years.
The food market in Common Market has been operating for a year and a half and has quickly gained popularity and has become a place where people have had the opportunity to start new business ventures.
In October, Common Market won Belfast Chamber's Business Award for Best New Business, a testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to turn the old warehouse into something special.
Vendors at the market had previously told Belfast Live that the venue was like "one big family", as the various businesses come together to support one another.
