The development includes a new vehicular access road from Garters Lane to the N7/M7 Naas Road, with two vehicular access points serving the proposed cemetery. It will also have 110 car parking spaces, eight bicycle parking stands.
The area currently has a lake which the hotel owners are planning to reshape and to build a footbridge. They are also planning for other hard and soft landscape and boundary treatment works, including the provision of a sustainable drainage system (SUDS), lighting, associated signage, as well as site services including foul and surface water drainage and water supply.
The development will also include all other associated site excavation, infrastructural and site development works above and below ground. Plans for the cemetery have been lodged with South Dublin County Council but the local authority has requested more information about the proposal.
